AML Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AML Assistant to join our dynamic Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have a certification in Anti-Money Laundering by CySEC and a strong foundation in compliance principles. This role requires someone with a passion for financial crime prevention, excellent attention to detail, and a strong desire to develop their career within the compliance field.

Working Hours:
The position operates on a rotational shift schedule with two shifts:
• 09:00 – 18:00 (1-hour break included).
• 11:00 – 20:00 (1-hour break included).
Candidates must be comfortable working both shifts, depending on the rotation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the drafting of relevant AML policies and procedures and monitor their implementation by the relevant departments.
• Review, approve and/or monitor information/communication to Clients including marketing communications, websites and customer support communications).
• Assisting in the implementation of procedures and processes to prevent Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
• Performing AML checks and approving Client’s accounts/documents on a risk-based approach.
• Monitoring of Client’s accounts/documents.
• Adhering to the Client Acceptance Policy and Due Diligence procedures.
• Assisting in the handling of client complaints and/or monitoring the handling of client complaints.
• Assist in performing best execution monitoring tests as well as monitoring accounts for suspicious trading practices.
• Assisting in the preparation of reporting obligations to Regulatory Authorities and Management.
• Keep abreast of new legislation and regulation updates and report such updates to the AMLCO.
• Undertake other compliance duties as requested by the AMLCO.

Essential Qualifications:
• University degree in Law/Finance or a related field.
• Holder of CySEC AML Certificate.
• Fluency in English and Greek with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies.
• High levels of confidentiality and integrity.

Desirable Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience in an AML or financial compliance role.
• Familiarity with AML transaction monitoring software.
• Resilience, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of reporting procedures and familiarity with SAR (Suspicious Activity Reporting) processes.
